From Anchorage: Take the Glenn Highway (HWY 1) east for 157 miles to Glennallen. Turn left at the junction with the Richardson Highway  (HWY 4). Proceed north for approximately 12 miles.  Turn right at the Tok Cut-Off Highway (Highway 1) and continue east for 4.7 miles.  Approximate driving time 4 hours.

From Valdez: Take the Richardson Highway (Highway 4) north for 119 miles to Glenallen. Continue past Glenallen for approximately 12 miles. Turn right at the Tok Cut-Off Highway (Highway 1) and continue east for 4.7 miles.  Approximate driving time 2.5 hours. 

From McCarthy: Take the McCarthy Road west for 60 miles until arriving in Chitina. Merge onto the Edgerton Cut-Off (Highway 10) and continue west for 32 miles until reaching the Richardson Highway (Highway 4).  Turn right and continue north on the Richardson Highway (Highway 4) for 32 miles to reach Glenallen. Continue past Glenallen for 12 miles to the Tok Cut-Off Highway (Highway 1).  Turn right at the Tok Cut-Off Highway (Highway 1) and continue east for 4.7 miles.  Approximate driving time 4 hours.   

From Chitina: Take the Edgerton Cut-Off (Highway 10) west for 32 miles to the Richardson Highway (Highway 4).  Turn right on the Richardson Highway (Highway 4) and continue north for another 32 miles to reach Glenallen. Continue past Glenallen for 12 miles to the Tok Cut-Off Highway (Highway 1).  Turn right at the Tok Cut-Off Highway (Highway 1) and continue east for 4.7 miles.  Approximate driving time 1 hour 45 minutes.   

From Whitehorse, Yukon Territories: Travel north on the Alaskan Highway (Highway 1) to the Alaska border (295 miles) .  Continue north on the Alaskan Highway (Highway 2) until reaching Tok (90 miles). Take the Tok Cut-Off Highway (Highway 1) south for 120 miles. You will reach Red Igloo Cabins 4.7 miles before the junction with the Richardson Highway (Highway 4). Approximate driving time 9.5 hours.

From Tok: Take the Tok Cut-Off Highway (Highway 1) south for 120 miles. You will reach Red Igloo Cabins 4.7 miles before the junction with the Richardson Highway (Highway 4). Approximate driving time 2.5 hours.

From Fairbanks: Travel south for 95 miles on the Richardson Highway (Highway 4) until reaching the Tok Cut-Off Highway (Highway 1). Turn left and travel east on the Tok Cut-Off Highway (Highway 1) for 4.7 miles. Approximate driving time 4.5 hours.  

From Denali National Park: Take the Parks Highway (Highway 3) south for 30 miles to Cantwell and the junction of the Denali Highway (Highway 8). Turn left on the Denali Highway (Highway 8) and travel east for 135 miles on the Denali Highway (Highway 8). until reaching Paxson at the junction of the Richardson Highway (Highway 4). Turn right and travel south on the Richardson Highway (Highway 4) for 58 miles until reaching the Tok Cut-Off Highway (Highway 1). Turn left and travel east on the Tok Cut-Off Highway (Highway 1) for 4.7 miles. Approximate driving time 4.5 hours. THIS ROUTE IS CLOSED DURING WINTER.
